A Beginner’s Guide to the Vue Framework

This tutorial will walk you through the various steps of creating a web application with the Vue framework. You’ll learn about composing screens, components, colour schemes, and more. You’ll also learn about options and the composition APIs. As you work, run your development server, so it’s up and running.

Colour scheme

When writing code, there’s no such thing as “the right color scheme.” However, there are some things that you can do to ensure that your code looks as good as possible. Luckily, Vue comes with a style guide for older framework versions. Using it will help you avoid common mistakes, such as bikeshedding and anti-patterns. While it is not always necessary to follow the guide to the letter, it is a good starting point.

Screens section

The Screens section of the Vue tutorial will teach you how to build a responsive web app. It includes several valuable tools. For example, you can define the breakpoints for a responsive design. Using these breakpoints, you can configure which classes should be activated when a user changes their screen size. In addition, you can define a colour scheme to override the default colour palette.

Options

There are many ways to customize Vue. For example, you can enable TypeScript linting, test automation, and vue-router. You can also customize your application’s behaviour. But there are some settings you should leave at default values. This Vue tutorial aims to give you a general understanding of Vue’s core features and how you can make them work for you.

The TypeScript implementation supports Vue’s Options API, although we’d recommend using it with the Composition API, which provides a more straightforward type inference. Runtime props options, on the other hand, only support constructor functions. As a result, TypeScript may fail to infer complex types when they are inside functions. TypeScript 4.7 fixes this issue.

Besides creating a list of options, you can also create groups of prospects. These groups are defined by their label, values, and group-select property. The tag identifies the opportunities to display, while the deals point to the options list within that group. The group-select prop determines whether or not the user should select all matters in the group. If the value matches, the selection will be saved as an array of values.

Composition APIs

A Vue composition API enables you to create reusable components from many smaller pieces. The Composition API is the default behaviour in Vue. When you write code using this API, variables are inferred as types. This allows you to use IntelliSense.

Composition APIs let you change the components’ data, methods, and computed options. You can also change the order of execution of members. This allows you to reuse code without rewriting the same code multiple times. Composition APIs are available in the framework, and the creators are constantly improving them to make them more useful for developers.

Composition APIs also give you a new way to build components. Essentially, these APIs are built on top of the Options API. However, the Composition API is more flexible than the Options API. The Composition API allows you to declare logical parts and group them by feature. This helps you write code that is easy to maintain and test. It also makes it easier to export and share code.
